Hi, I'm Dana Kroes, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 10 years of experience serving teens and adults. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Utah and hold a Substance Use Disorder Counseling (SUDC) certification from Utah Valley University. I am currently accepting clients in Payson, Utah.
I believe that healing is possible for everyone. My passion is helping people move beyond survival, build resilience, and reconnect with their authentic selves. I specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, addiction, chronic pain, attachment wounds, and relationship challenges.
My goal is to provide a compassionate, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. No matter where you are in your journey, it would be a privilege to walk alongside you as you discover your strengths, find balance, and create a life that feels more connected, purposeful, and whole.
My Story
While I love the work I do as a therapist, the simple things in life bring me joy. You'll often find me curled up with a good book, eating a piece (or two) of good chocolate, walking my dog, or spending quality time with my family and friends.
These moments remind me of the importance of slowing down, staying present, and finding joy in everyday life—values I strive to bring into my work with clients as they discover their own path toward healing, balance, and wholeness.
I am trained in a variety of evidence-based and holistic approaches, including CBT, EMDR, DBT, PRT, DNMS, Mindfulness. I also offer optional complementary modalities to traditional therapy for those interested in supporting overall mind, body, and spirit wellness on a self-pay basis:
