Trauma & PTSD Therapy
Our therapists provide compassionate, trauma-informed care for post-traumatic stress (PTSD), complex trauma (C-PTSD), childhood trauma, abuse, and grief at our Lehi and Payson offices and by telehealth across Utah. Trauma can show up long after the event — as anxiety, hypervigilance, flashbacks, numbness, or difficulty trusting — and it doesn’t always look like one big moment. We meet you where you are and draw on proven approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and CBT, to help you feel safe in your body and your relationships again.

Frequently asked
What counts as “trauma”?
Trauma is any experience that overwhelmed your ability to cope — it can be a single event or something that built up over time, and it doesn’t have to look dramatic to leave a real mark. If the past is still affecting how you feel, sleep, or relate to people, that’s reason enough to reach out.
What’s the difference between PTSD and complex trauma?
PTSD often follows a specific event, while complex trauma (C-PTSD) tends to come from repeated or prolonged experiences, often in childhood or relationships. The symptoms overlap, and both respond well to trauma-informed therapy — your therapist will tailor the approach to your history.
Is EMDR part of trauma therapy here?
Often, yes. EMDR is one of our core trauma tools, and several of our clinicians are EMDR-trained — but it’s one option among several. We’ll choose the approach that fits you and your comfort level.
